Droplets bounce on impact with Graphene coated surface
Graphene as single atom layered super material has limitless potential. When combined with Teflon as a Teflon coated graphene foam it becomes superhydrophobic. Amazing image shows droplets making impact with this coated surface and bouncing off intact. Graphene as a single layer onto glass or plastic adds a noticeable but subtle hue of grey shading, but nonetheless acceptable as an overlay. This new type of superhydrophobic coating is promising for self-cleaning and anti-fouling surfaces. Of course graphene’s other properties such as strength also come into play.
